Making better use of our joint resources is crucial, including staff, services and money. We now have an opportunity to develop better ways of working between the existing partners, services and professionals on the Fylde coast. Known as ‘Healthier Fylde Coast’, the Integrated Care Partnership brings together the local NHS, Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council.
For the past 18 months local NHS and council organisations have been working in partnership to plan health and care services for the next five years across the Fylde Coast.
We don’t need any legislative changes to make progress as we can work within our existing organisations to strengthen partnership working, further develop services and improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Our strategy has already been influenced by a huge amount of feedback from our staff, clinicians, wider stakeholders and people living on the Fylde Coast. We're now ready to take the first draft of our strategy ‘on the road’ to seek your views on the effectiveness of our priorities to meet the challenges ahead.
